Supportive, Caring Environment
Mennonite Home is a vibrant part of our continuing care retirement community (CCRC). A person centered care community, we have a fresh and supportive approach to caring for older adults. For our Woodcrest Villa residents, Mennonite Home is where we can help them when they need more care. In addition, we also welcome residents from outside Woodcrest Villa. If you or a loved one needs extra support, we may be able to help. As a CCRC, Mennonite Home offers a full range of healthcare services including skilled nursing, memory care, personal care and rehab.
Person Centered Care
Mennonite Home was among the first communities to adopt personal centered care. Person centered care is a much different model than what was found in some traditional nursing homes. As we embraced this new way of caring, we encouraged residents and families to actively engage in their care plan. Another way we did this was by remodeling to make a homelike environment in our welcoming “households.” Beyond how we look on the outside, it also touches how we feel and act on the inside. For example, staff listen to residents and treat them like the amazing individuals they are. Additionally, they actively participate in community events and specially designed activities. We listen to and honor their preferences when possible. Truly, person centered care is part of all that we do.
